On January 29, representatives of the leadership of To Hien Thanh High School said that the Police Agency and functional sectors had worked with the school to clarify the reflection on teachers fixing semester exam scores for many students.
According to previous reflections, at the mid-semester I and late-semester I exams of the 2025-2026 school year, teacher Doan Thi Hang (Literature teacher at the school) arbitrarily corrected 126 scores of students in grades 11C4, 11C9 and 12B3 when entering scores to the VnEdu system.
The scores were mainly revised in the direction of increasing from 1-3 points compared to the actual work and the results were initially announced by the school. Even, there were cases where students from 5-6 points were increased to 8 points, from 7 points increased to 8 points. Besides, there were also some students whose scores were lowered.
Notably, according to the initial inspection results, the errors are not only related to teacher Doan Thi Hang. To Hien Thanh High School also discovered that incorrect score entry occurred in many other subjects. In class B2, the mid-semester I test had 17 scores in English and 11 scores in Physics that were incorrect; the end-semester I test had 12 scores in English and 30 scores in Physics that were incorrect. In class B3, Physics had a total of 36 scores that were incorrect in both tests. Some 10s were also adjusted down in class B2 in Physics and English subjects.
It is known that in the first semester, To Hien Thanh High School organized two centralized tests (inter-semester and end-semester) to assess and classify students with four exam subjects. After having the results, the scores are publicly listed, then teachers enter scores into the VnEdu system according to regulations. However, errors such as the above occurred during the score entry process.
After the incident occurred, the school established an inspection team to verify the reflection related to teacher Doan Thi Hang arbitrarily correcting 126 scores of many classes when entering scores into the VnEdu management system.
Explaining this deviation, teacher Doan Thi Hang said that the reason was that the computer and network transmission were intermittent during the data entry process.
