At the end of January 2026, at the construction site of the Tuyen Quang Urban Housing Development Area project in Minh Xuan ward, machinery and equipment and workers are pouring concrete for the final floors of 2 social housing buildings in the project.
These are the first 2 high-rise social housing buildings built in Tuyen Quang province with an area of 1,610 m2 (including 7 above-ground floors and 1 basement), floor area of about 13,130 m2, meeting about 146 apartments for low-income workers.
The project is invested by Tuyen Quang Automobile Joint Stock Company, started in June 2025 with a total investment of over 137 billion VND. After the merger, housing demand, especially in society in Tuyen Quang province, is forecast to increase, so this project is highly anticipated by the people.
Mr. Hoang Tran Tung (Ha Giang 1 ward, Tuyen Quang province) said that after merging the province and transferring to work at the administrative center, his family currently lives in a public housing. The whole family of 3 people has some inconveniences.
In the long term, we cannot live in official residences forever, so I hope the social housing project in the center of Tuyen Quang province will be completed soon. We have the conditions to rent or buy at a suitable price, stabilizing our lives," Mr. Tung shared.

Talking to PV, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tuyen Quang Automobile Joint Stock Company - said that the social housing project in Minh Xuan ward has many social significance, and will help low-income workers have stable housing.
Therefore, we are highly determined to implement the project, and are expected to hand over houses to users by June 2026," Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung informed.
Previously, at the end of 2025, Tuyen Quang province announced information about 4 social housing projects in the area with a total investment of nearly 5,000 billion VND, implementation time from 2026 - 2030. This is also an important step to concretize the goal of completing about 3,000 social housing units in Tuyen Quang province by 2030, creating a stable housing fund to meet the housing needs of workers in the context of strong industrial development.
Mr. Ha Quoc Dung - Deputy Director of Tuyen Quang Provincial Department of Construction - said that the Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department to urge investors of commercial housing projects and urban areas to deploy investment in social housing construction on the 20% land fund of the project according to the approved progress.
In case the investor does not implement it, it will propose to competent authorities to recover 20% of the land fund to organize selection, assign it to other investors to implement and proactively propose approval of investment policies for social housing and worker housing projects according to the approved housing development plan," Mr. Dung said.
